We basically spent only 48 hrs in Singapore this weekend, from Saturday lunch time until Monday lunch time. (Nathan a little bit less even since he didn't come over until in the evening on Saturday.)
Somehow though, it feels like we've been away for two weeks instead of two days. (Well, nearly...) I guess that's what 48 hours in Singapore do to you when you live in Brunei!
It's such a huge contrast between the serenity of Brunei and the hustle and bustle of Singapore, that it just gives you that much more oomph. All those new impressions and exciting adventures, makes you feel like you've been gone for much longer.
It's a nice feeling. One that I can pull energy from for quite a while.
It's also comforting to know that you have civilization, anonymity and normality; an existence so different to the one here in the "bubble" - only a 1 1/2 hr plane ride away.
