Every company with any self-respect puts up a billboard. Some even decorates whole roundabouts:

I've heard there is supposed to be some big fireworks as well, and a parade. I might try and find out if it's worth trying to go and see it. That could be nice.

There will be a big firework display on the 15th July at the Istana Nurul Iman after the birthday banquet.
Banquet will finish around 9.30 - 10.30pm I think. Its actually for the benefit of the banquet guests but anyone in the vicinity will be able to enjoy it as well. You will see cars double parking along Jalan Tutong and even on the overhead pass of the highway near the Hospital to watch.
I've never gone to see it myself but i always tot that a good place to view it would be from Damuan Park next to the Istana.
