Petitenget

Last night we went to a restaurant recommended by a couple of friends who have spent a lot of time in Bali, 'Petitenget'. Funnily enough it was also mentioned in the villa handbook, so we thought it must be good.

Well it wasn't.
It was AH-MAZING!

They gave us some funny looking things before eating:

It took us a minute to figure out what it was... It said napkins, but looked like little breath mints?

Aha! That's how it works!

Not only did we get very tasty drinks...

... but also the food was out of this world, so yummy. Anne had a yellow-finned tuna steak, and the rest of us had this pork belly. Mmm! One of the best meals I've had in a long time.

Best things was, while we enjoyed our dinner out in the restaurant, the kids were looked after and served their dinner in a separate room, in front of a huge screen with cartoons! We didn't see them once during our whole meal!

It was hard to decide when it came to dessert. All we knew was that we needed to have some, if it was going to be even half as good as the main, it was going to be divine..!

I ended up going for the Coconut and Ginger Creme Brûlée, and went halves with Anne who had ordered the Bali Lime and Coconut Meringue Pie. Mmm - we were in heaven!

Such a great meal, and fab night! It'll be hard to beat!
