Bali, Day 3 - Tanah Lot

After some more early morning swimming and another gorgeous breakfast by the pool, we were ready for some exploring. Our driver picked us up and took us up further along the coast to one of the famous temples, Tanah Lot.

Tanah Lot has been a part of the Balinese culture for centuries and it's famous for it's extraordinary views. It's situated on a rock just off the shore, and legend says it is guarded by poisonous snakes.

Look at this cutie we saw!

We took our time to wander around the grounds, and it sure was beautiful and impressive. Obviously we weren't the only ones there, but the atmosphere was still peaceful and serene, even though it was rather crowded.
Along the coast we also found another temple called Pura Batu Balong. It was also situated rather spectacularly on another rock, although this one was connected to the shore:

It was a really nice walk around these temple grounds, a visit well worth recommending. I would love to be here to see the sea when it gets really rough, must be impressive!
