Bambi on ice

In our quest to activate the kids no matter the weather, we took them to an ice rink today. Mormor had managed to borrow some skates and we wanted to try them on ice skating, something they've never tried before.
Since children here in Sweden are not on Easter holidays until next week, we were the only ones there.

Putting the skates on the kids, and tying them up hard, gave me more flashbacks from my own childhood, I used to spend many hours at the ice rink as a kid.

They started with using support...

But they both quickly advanced to freestyle skating..! There was a lot of falling over happening, Linnea went down on her knees as soon as she felt unstable whereas Lucas did more spectacular falls! None of them got discouraged though and just kept getting up, and kept on going.

I managed to stay on my legs though, although it must be at least 20 years since I was last skating!
We had so much fun, we will go back again for sure!
