Hazardous haze

This is how the sun looked this morning at the school run - slightly hazy here at the moment!

They predict that this haze may persist for several days, and I do feel for those with asthma issues etc.

The reason for this haze over Brunei, is apparently trans boundary haze from local burning in West Kalimantan and parts of Sarawak. The PSI (=Pollutant Standard Index) reading in Brunei is a lot higher than normal, today it's at 51, which is considered moderate. The conditions over Singapore and southern Malaysia is way more alarming though, Singapore had an all-time high of 371 the other day!
