EFIT - Sunday 17.02.2008

07.20 Time to get up to a new EFIT day! (This globe-calendar has been with me for as long as I can remember, one of my most treasured possessions.)

08.40 Checking up on my friends around the world, together with breakfast.

09.40 Got an email from a friend in Greece, telling me wonderful news about the birth of her daughter - I got inspired to do some scrapping, of some photos from our holiday in Lefkas 2006. Here is the beginning of the creative process...

10.55 ... and here is the finished result:

11.45 Lunchtime: bacon and omelet. Yum!

12.30 Packing the car to go swimming. Had been looking forward to a dip since we got back from Sweden. (Then it turned out to be so cold, I didn't swim anyway!)

13.20 Went to a friends house for coffee on the way to the Yacht Club. Had coffee, a chat and swopped some magazines. Here is what I got:

14.30 Arrived at the Yacht Club. Lucas is getting really confident, jumps into the water without hesitation and even swims a short bit.

15.40 Still swimming, playing with the ball.

16.30 While waiting for dinner, down at the beach, the sun is on it's way down.

17.45 Stopped at one of the big shops on the way home, to buy a radio to put in the amah's room. A nice thing to do, so she gets some "life" in her room.

18.50 Ended the day with some DIY, attaching the new shelf to the wall, in case the kids would try and climb on it.

EFIT - Friday 01.02.2008

09.15 I had forgot it was an EFIT-day, so my first picture is of Mormor and Linnea waving goodbye as I leave for the train, to go to Copenhagen for a weekend with my girlfriends:

10.15 Picking up my new passport at the Police Station, on the way to the train. It had broken in the binding, so I got a new one, free of charge:

11.15 On the train, listening to my favourite Swedish comedy radioshow På Minuten on my iPod, and eating chocolate:

12.45
Changing trains at Nässjö, on to the X2000 speedtrain:

13.30
Having met up with Erika, we feast on semlor (see here) and coffee, yum! (It's Bert-semlor, very tasty actually. Created by our local Skara-celebrity Bert Karlsson.)

15.20
Forgot to take a photo around 14, but here is the view from Öresundsbron (between Sweden and Denmark), if you look closely you can see the wind-powerstations in the far:

16.20 Leaving Copenhagen airport with the Metro. It's amazingly easy to get around CPH nowadays thanks to the metro. This last bit out to the airport was the last bit to get opened quite recently:

17.30
Erika forgot her backpack on the train we came with from Sweden. A very nice DSB-worker helped us locate it again, it had to go with the train to Helsingör and back - and here we have just recuperated it and are on our way to leave Hovedbanegården (=main train station CPH):

19.00 Dinner is served, sushi, mmm! Favourite meal with favourite girls!

20.30
Trying to make the little ones fall asleep with some Shrek - no luck..:

21.30
And then the night went on, with this, until very, very late. The end.

EFIT - Monday 10.12.2007

07.15 Good Morning. Trying to buy some time to snooze on the sofa by turning the tv on to 'Bob the Builder'. It worked for a bit...

08.10 Arriving at the Country Club, for my morning exercise = an hour in the gym.

09.35 Workout over, hitting the changing room, time for a shower.

10.30 We went to see (yet another) house today. If we would take it, these guys would be our neighbors! (Don't think we will...)

11.40 A little bit of silliness after lunch.

12.30 Coming home with the shopping for the day, a bag full of goodies (actually, a baby present for a newborn little girl, and two calendar gifts for the kids - yes, I'm still putting them on, but I'm done now!) from HuaHo.

13.50 The Christmas tree came out of it's box yesterday and is now standing here pretty in the corner. So I thought I better take out some of my other decorations too - like this Tomte (=Santa), and his julbock (="Christmas he-goat") that I have had for as long as I can remember...

14.45 Writing a few Christmas cards, to the people we know here in Brunei.

17.15 At my hairdressers. Had an appointment for some foils, a cut, and to get my eyebrows fixed. It was lovely! Here is my entertainment, a pile of gossip!

19.20 Coming back from the hairdresser, this is what I see entering our house! When the night has fallen, you can really get the Christmas spirit here too!

20.40 All the gates of heaven are open, a massive thunderstorm has planted itself right above our house. The lightning is impressive, the noise is deafening and the rain is heavier than anything I have ever seen before!! I have raided the kids toys for batteries to put in the flashlights so I am ready if the power goes. Good night!

EFIT - Saturday 03.11.2007

08.30 Time to get up, after a lovely sleep-in.

09.30 After breakfast, jump into the shower!

10.30 Look what came in a parcel for me! My Ordning&Reda calendar for next year that I had ordered! And how pretty it is... *sigh*

11.30 Cleaning up after Halloween.

12.30 - 15.30 Regatta-time at the Yacht Club. We went up there for lunch and stayed the whole afternoon. Got so relaxing I forgot to take photos these hours *shame on me*.

16.30 Someone we didn't know had a birthday party, but fortunately there was cake enough even for our kids..! No more spoons though, hence the extra messy face!

17.30 One last G&T for the road (not for the driver though).

18.30 Linnea is really into her animals at the moment. Especially lining them all up.

19.30 Labeling my "bread-stuff" for the bread machine.

20.30 Starting my uploading, doing my blog round, emailing, Skyping... will be at it for a while, so no more pictures tonight!

The EFIT photo project

I have started doing the EFIT ('Ett foto i timmen' = one photo an hour). It is a Swedish started photo project that I have been interested in for a while, and now I thought it's about time I become a part of it.

Once a month, a lot of people around the globe document their day with one photo each hour, and then they share their days on their blogs or websites. It is kind of cool, and you get to see a lot of different ways a day can be spent!

Here is my first EFIT, hopefully I will keep it up so you will see many more!

EFIT - Tuesday 25.09.2007

06.40 Breakfast time. We have started setting the table the night before, since every minute counts in the morning!

07.20 Time for school run: mandarin folder, lunch bag and change bag.

08.55 We took our Jura coffee machine with us from the UK - still so in love with it!

09.45 Checking news and email, a bit of a quiet time, just me, my coffee and my Mac.

11.30 Doing some shopping. We only had one noodle when we got here, so obviously, we had to get another one - so they will have one each.

12.30 Picking Lucas up from school. Lunch boxes left out so the parents can check what's left and what's gone.

13.00 Lunchtime, my favourite - sushi. Not quite the kids favourite, but they liked the way lunch got served! Choo-choo!

14.00 After school, a bit of Lego-play is always good fun!

15.10 The maintenance guy is mowing our tiny lawn.

16.15 At the supermarket, about to entry "the naughty section", to get some bacon and ham.

17.30 Not much time to cook, got home late from shopping. Lazy dinner, pizza...

18.15 Time for a bit of "Sponge Bob Square pants" before bedtime, and I'm going to upload the photos from today and spend the rest of the evening in front of the tv for a change.
